Companies and Their Use of Social Medias

Many companies are using social media to promote their products. The use of social media is catching on quickly because of the vast numbers of consumers who utilize this medium.

Oh did I forget to mention it's Free Advertising? Unbelievable, yet true there is a place where you can advertise a product/service for that low price of FREE. Just a few years ago, to place an ad in a paper or phone book had cost a pretty penny, now through Social Media you can simply create your own ad page and read the feedback as well.

A vast amount of companies are managing their Social Media by monitoring negative postings, which I believe is a great idea. A complaint about a product can be easily resolved by a response back from the Company assuring the consumer of the  their concern and how they will address their issues.

Strategic plans that Companies should keep in place are; respond to your followers, keep your page updated, continue to grow your fan base,  and sell your product from the page.

 A well known electronic company utilizing Social Media is Samsung Mobile USA, they are using these services to promote their product to the consumer of mobile devices. By giving the consumer a look at their past, present, and future products. They are attempting to reach a vast audience with paid advertising, yet with social media the audience are mainly to the teen and 40 somethings by the looks of their Facebook page. They manage their relationship with their consumer through reviews, likes and videos. They have a great strategy in place by allowing you to click on any device allowing you to purchase it and choose your mobile carrier while on their page. Another  mention are the political organizations using Social Media whom are atop their cyber soap box proclaiming who you should vote for. They are attempting to reach mainly the undecided voters with their annoying pop up ads on the side of my Facebook page. Although annoying they allow you to like and sign petitions which I must agree can be effective.
